Jane's Cannabis Shop is a family operated, Cannabis retailer in Aurora, Ontario. We are currently seeking an experienced Retail Cannabis Key Holder who can work with us and assist the Retail Store Manager. We are looking for a Key Holder who will be dynamic and diligent to help us create a healthy and safe environment for our employees and customers. We are looking for a highly motivated and career driven individual with vast knowledge of the Cannabis industry.

Position Overview: The Key Holder will be responsible to assist with managing inventory and day to day store operations. Focused on building sales, the Key Holder will ensure that the shop is operated in an engaging, safe and cost - effective manner.

Responsibilities: The key Holder will be responsible to maintain shop operations on a daily basis in an extended hour environment. This will include inventory management, POS operations, KPI, security oversight, health and safety and adherence to Retail Cannabis Regulations and compliance requirements. Coordinate with Manager to perform weekly inventory audits. Lead the sales floor and attend to customer needs and conflict resolution.

Qualifications Required:

Provincial required age minimum, 19 years +

  • Knowledge of the Cannabis industry and Ontario Cannabis Retail Regulations
  • Valid Cansell Certification (proof upon employment)
  • Completed Satisfactory Criminal Background Check, based on AGCO requirements, with documents and date of completion
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory/leadership experience managing retail staff with overall operational accountability
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Strong communicator who can present ideas clearly
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Experience working in a regulated environment with compliance requirements
  • High School diploma; Post-secondary education in Business, Retail or Hospitality studies would be considered an asset
  • Experience working with and maintaining technology, including POS, Tablets, Google Drive, Security technology
  • Flexible to work various shifts in extended hour environment (nights, weekends and holidays)
  • Must be able to lift, stack and carry 35 lbs /15.9 kg
  • Must have open availably
