Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in serving and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Duties

• Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to traditional techniques and presentation standards
• Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling various sushi rolls and sashimi
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
• Assist in meal preparation for special events or menu updates as needed
• Serve customers with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent food service experience
• Follow recipes accurately while also contributing ideas for new sushi creations
• Manage inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing

Skills

• Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including fish handling and rice cooking
• Excellent skills in food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
