Server/Bartender

Nitehawk Year-Round Adventure Park is looking for a part-time Server/Bartendar to finish off the rest of our winter season. Nitehawk server/bartenders will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. You will also upsell items, utilize proper equipment and ingredients, and handle basic cleaning duties.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and set up the bar
• Clean bar area and wash glassware
• Take counter orders
• Clean draft beer system
• Advise on wine selection
• Inform customers regarding contents of cocktails or other drinks
• Collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment for beverages
• Record and balance beverage sales
• Properly store beverage and food products
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
• Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Take beverage orders directly from patrons

Work conditions and physical capabilities

To succeed as a server/bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. Nitehawk is a fast-paced work environment and will entail standing for extended periods of time. This position may need you to work additional shifts if a special event is hosted at our location.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 3.5 months

Pay: $17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
