Warehouse Associate (Parts Handler)

Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Handler to join our team at our Edmonton West location.

What You Will Do:

  • Verify parts to ensure they are correct before assembling customer orders
  • Assist in stocking and maintaining inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas
  • Re-stock shelves and move parts
  • Assist customers when looking for parts
  • Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
  • May assist with loading vehicles,  shipping, and receiving
  • May occasionally deliver parts with FGI vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

  • MUST HAVE 1 year of general warehouse experience or order picker experience using an RF Scanner or barcode gun.
  • MUST BE ABLE to meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75-100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers.
  • Valid class 5/G license with 5 years of Canadian driving experience required
  • High school diploma, GED, or other high school equivalence certificate
  • Excellent customer service skills - Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers
  • Strong communication skills – Confident in delivering clear and detailed information to customers and team members
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and technology – Able to learn in-house systems
  • Heavy-duty parts knowledge or background is an asset
