Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Flat Deck Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate flat deck trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure loads using chains, straps, tarps, and binders.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.
  • Follow designated routes while remaining flexible to adjust for traffic, weather, or load requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including logbooks, inspection reports, and delivery records.
  • Ensure compliance and company safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the truck.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 (or Class A) driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Minimum 1 years of flat deck or commercial driving experience must.
  • Experience securing loads with chains, binders, straps, and tarps.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and load securement standards.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy materials and equipment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
