PART-TIME SECURITY GUARD / RECEPTIONIST

CBS STAGES CANADA CO., in partnership with our subcontractor Regal Security, is seeking a reliable and professional part-time Security Guard/Receptionist to support our main reception team at our state-of-the-art production facility in Mississauga. This role plays an essential part in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment for all staff, visitors, and production clients. The Security Guard/Receptionist will be responsible forproviding exceptional customer service, overseeing visitor management and access control, and ensuring adherence to building security procedures. Key duties include greeting and registering visitors, monitoring site activity, assisting with general office and administrative tasks, and supporting the main Receptionist and Regal Security team in day-to-day operations.

This is a part-time contracted position, averaging 20–30 hours per week (approximately 25 hours). Additional shifts may become available based on operational needs. Our regular receptionist hours are 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Part-time shifts for this role will be either 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with occasional weekend shifts as required.

Start Date: December 1, 2025. Flexible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet all visitors and determine the nature of their visit
  • Clear and verify visitors permitted on-site
  • Maintain tidiness and professionalism in the reception and lobby area
  • Monitor visitor access and issue passes as required
  • Sort and organize incoming packages and deliveries
  • Answer incoming calls and emails; identify purpose and forward to appropriate departments
  • Report all suspicious activity on-site and maintain detailed log entries
  • Provide reception coverage daily, as assigned
  • Perform photocopying, scanning, filing, and other general clerical tasks
  • Prepare basic correspondence and documents using MS Outlook, Word, and Adobe applications
  • Assist with maintaining updated contact lists when required
  • Support the main Receptionist and Regal Security team as needed
  • Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and maintain a professional appearance, including proper attire and adherence to company grooming standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License (required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of office-related, reception, or customer-service experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficient in English
  • Ability to interact tactfully and professionally with staff, visitors, and clients
  • Demonstrated client-service orientation with a warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with Adobe is an asset
  • Ability to occasionally work flexible hours
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records check
  • Valid driver's license (asset, not required)

RATE OF PAY:

$19/hour
