Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented, professional and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing excellent patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of our medical. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with using a computer in windows. The Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience. While specific experience in these areas is a plus, we are happy to train the right candidate who is just starting in this field, as long as they possess the personal qualities we are looking for.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently using Accuro EMR software
  • Manage multi-line phone system to answer inquiries, confirm appointments, take messages and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Verify patient CareCard information and process card payments as needed
  • Collect and update patient demographic and MSP with attention to detail
  • Prepare and organize paperwork for provider appointments
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and workflow
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, copying and supplies inventory
  • Ensure the front desk area remains organized, clean, child safe and welcoming
  • Maintain the utmost level of patient confidentiality both at work and outside work.

Experience

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Accuro is a plus but not strictly required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings is a plus
  • Proven experience managing in a busy work environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail is a requirement.
  • Strong customer service skills and professionalism is required
  • Previous roles involving experience in healthcare settings will be advantageous
