About the Role

  • Assist with the preparation and execution of holiday installations and seasonal décor displays for residential and commercial interiors.
  • Work from detailed design plans and direction provided by the lead designer to ensure every décor element is placed to perfection.
  • Support on-site set-up and styling, including moving, unpacking, and arranging décor items.
  • Work on your feet for extended periods, often under tight timelines and high-pressure situations leading up to the holidays.
  • Problem-solve independently and adapt to last-minute changes or client requests.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required for out-of-town installations (accommodation provided).
  • Must be available weekdays, with some evening work as needed during peak season.
  • Project-based between November and January 2026.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend project meetings to review schedules and décor details.
  • Assist with prep work: unpacking, organizing, and prepping décor materials.
  • On-site set-up and styling of displays according to design briefs and direction.
  • Finalizing every décor detail to perfection, ensuring a polished, luxury finish.
  • Assist with strike/tear-down after installations as required.
  • Maintain professionalism and a client-focused attitude at all times.

  • You work well under pressure and can adapt to changing priorities.
  • Previous experience in décor, events, retail displays, hospitality, or related fields is an asset.
  • Physical ability to be on your feet for long hours and perform light to medium lifting.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel as required.
  • Must have access to email and a cell phone for communication.

Compensation

  • Hourly/project rate: $18–$25, based on experience.
  • This is a contract position; contractors are responsible for their own taxes and statutory remittances
  • Contractors invoice for services rendered; no employee benefits provided.
