Senior Technical Systems Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to lead and manage complex IT infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient systems across various platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of virtualization, cloud services, operating systems, and scripting to support our organization's technological growth and operational excellence.
Duties
- Design and deploy virtualized environments using VMware and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Maintain and optimize operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Oracle environments.
- Develop automation scripts utilizing Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Python, Java, and SQL to streamline system operations.
- Configure and manage VPNs to ensure secure remote access for users.
- Implement DevOps practices to enhance deployment pipelines and system reliability.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform regular updates to ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions aligned with business needs.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices for ongoing support and knowledge sharing.
Experience
- Proven experience in managing enterprise-level IT infrastructures with a focus on virtualization (VMware) and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
- Strong background in operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Oracle databases.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, Python, Java, and SQL.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies for continuous integration/deployment.
- Knowledge of VPN setup and management for secure remote connectivity.
- Prior experience in system architecture design, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing security best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 per year
