Business Need / Purpose of Role:

The Service Coordinator will support the Operations Manager with all service activities, in the office and shop. The Service Coordinator ensures that the total available hours are optimized and attains maximum utilization. Ensure KPI data is tracked through specific metrics pertaining to the efficiency of service. This position works in our Fort McMurray office.

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the assignment of work to technicians based on priorities, in constant communication with Operations Manager.
  • Makes sure a detailed report is issued after all service work;
  • Ensure that the schedule is optimized in regards to people power and equipment availability for each work order;
  • Manages all equipment warranty issues being accountable for all non-conformance report (NCR) processes related to warranty issues;
  • Acts as the business SOP process owner working with both product management and sales to optimize stock;
  • With the Operations Manager will ensure appropriate preparation of work orders according to information received from the customer;
  • Manage all of the sub-contractors when repairs are executed with third party, ensuring the repairs are carried according to our standards and in the required deadlines;
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture

Education and/or Experience:

  • 1+ years of service coordination/scheduling experience in an industrial setting.
  • Business/technical education is beneficial.
  • Project management experience is an asset.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills both verbal and written in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safe operating procedures (SOP)
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Intermediate to Excel are required.
  • Candidates with SAP experience will be given preference.
