About Us

Cuddles Learning is a STEAM education provider offering creative, project-based programs for children ages 5–13 in Markham, Vaughan, and across the GTA. Our core offerings include ScratchJr, Scratch game development, Pixel Art, and beginner coding workshops delivered through after-school programs, PA Day activities, weekend sessions, and holiday camps.

We're looking for enthusiastic instructors who love inspiring young kids through coding and creativity.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Scratch & ScratchJr Coding Instructor to lead fun, beginner-friendly coding classes. You will help students create animations, mini-games, and stories using block-based programming while building their problem-solving and creativity.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to teach coding in a playful, structured, and supportive environment.

What You'll Do

  • Teach ScratchJr to early learners (JK–Grade 2) using tablets or Chromebooks
  • Teach Scratch coding classes for Grades 3–7
  • Guide students to build projects such as animations, stories, art, and mini-games
  • Introduce basic concepts such as sequences, loops, events, variables, and logic
  • Provide clear explanations and patient, hands-on support
  • Follow Cuddles Learning's curriculum and project flow
  • Teach at after-school programs, weekend workshops, PA Day events, and camps
  • Maintain a positive, energetic, and safe learning environment

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Strong understanding of Scratch and/or ScratchJr
  • Experience teaching or working with kids ages 5–13
  • Excellent communication and classroom-management skills
  • Reliable, patient, and enthusiastic
  • Able to commit to weekly classes or seasonal camps

Assets (Nice to Have):

  • Experience developing Scratch projects, games, and animations
  • Background in education, STEAM, computer science, or youth programming
  • Ability to lead creative STEAM activities when needed
