Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and customer service. Your role will involve working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in our café.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
  • Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, equipment, and dining areas.
  • Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during food handling and preparation.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
  • Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions.

Skills

  • Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a positive experience for all guests.
  • Time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety practices and food preparation techniques.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Experience in the food industry or food service is advantageous.
