Belimo is a global leader in the development, production and marketing of actuator solutions for controlling heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.  Actuators, control valves and sensors make up the company's core business.

JOB SUMMARY

The Project Engineer is responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects require. This includes the mechanical design and development of control valves for the commercial HVAC industry, in addition to managing resource plans, budgets, timelines, testing and all technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and product quality from conception to completion. The position will interface with different groups within the company as well as external vendors and customers. The Project Engineer will work closely with other Engineers, Technicians, Procurement and Quality within a project-oriented, hands-on, team environment. The position requires strong documentation, presentation and communication skills.

The Project Engineer is part of the Project Engineering Team and reports to the Project Engineering Team Leader and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead all engineering and technical aspects of a project
  • Design/development, produce and qualify new products according to the Belimo project process
  • Organize, schedule and coordination of qualification testing
  • Hands-on work in test lab to support quality, development tests, post life analysis and equipment maintenance and design
  • Create detailed engineering test reports and presentations
  • Create and maintain resource plan, project/task management tool, budget and timelines
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project leader and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Create engineering documentation including drawings, bill of materials, technical specifications, work instructions, standards/procedures and checklists
  • Exchange product, technical and manufacturing experience with team members and provide regular updates on projects
REQUIREMENTS

  • Limited travel may also be required.
