The Organization
COBS Bread is a beloved Canadian bakery franchise with deep roots in community engagement and artisanal baking. Since launching in Vancouver in 2003 as part of the global Bakers Delight network, the company has grown to more than 180 locally owned bakeries across Canada, while also beginning to expand in the US. COBS Bread has earned widespread recognition for its fresh, scratch-made products and its End of Day Giving program, which donates all unsold goods daily to local charities and food banks.
Operating under a franchise model that balances local authenticity with national systems and support, COBS Bread has become synonymous with generosity, quality, and trust. As the brand continues to expand its presence and enhance its digital capabilities, it remains committed to operational excellence, franchisee success, and making a meaningful difference in every neighbourhood it serves.
COBS Bread is part of Bakers Delight Holdings, an international bakery network founded in 1980 that now operates more than 700 bakeries across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States, employing over 15,000 people and serving 2.1 million customers each week.
