What You'll be Doing

As an
Electrical Engineer
, you will provide engineering support for our industry-leading products to our most valued customers. From resolving product related issues and addressing design challenges to troubleshooting technical problems, there's nothing you can't solve. Beyond problem-solving, you 'll be collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure our products continue to deliver exception quality and value.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide top-tier engineering support to customers through troubleshooting, or addressing design challenges
  • Lead the design and implementation of product life cycle & roadmap activities
  • Select and validate suitable sensors, actuators and electronic components for system integration.
  • Identifying and driving product improvements initiatives including developing new algorithms, identifying system or part obsolescence, and cost reduction
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize technical and project processes using JIRA, Confluence, Word, etc.
  • Support on-site control system and locomotive commissioning at globally located rail yards

Who are you?:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting products as an Electrical Engineer
  • 2+ years of field service experience
  • A related degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Control or Electronic
  • Proficient in PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.)
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills
  • Experienced in all phases of the development life cycle
  • Profound understanding of control algorithms and design practices
  • Knowledgeable in industrial communication protocols (Profinet, RS-232, etc.)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate to an array of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Passion for learning and keeping up to date with new technologies
  • Ability to 20%-25% travel and work in industrial environments
