Background:
We operate a hybrid infrastructure spanning a variety of hardware and software components (both on-site and off-site) including:
- Microsoft Office 365
- Microsoft Exchange Online
- Cisco Threat Defense, Servers both physical and virtual, In-house IP Phone system, multiple software accounting packages including (but not necessarily limited to) CaseWare Working Papers, CCH iFirm (Jobs & Billing, Tax and Portal) QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Sage 50.
The accounting industry is by nature, time critical and highly confidential, therefore service response and the ability to maintain confidentiality is critical.
Role and Responsibilities:
To provide business computer software, network, and hardware support to the firm. Required to analyze problems, provide solutions, and to develop alternative resolutions to end users' typical issues. Provide end-user desktop software support as well as network support. Take part in developing additional services and processing plans to improve security, workflow, and to streamline company procedures.
Duties include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- First-level deskside support
- Documentation and tracking of support issues
- Installing/updating software packages
- Problem solving and initial diagnosis of software and hardware issues
- Trouble-shoot networking issues
- Resolve Windows Server Issues
- Support mobile device users
- Supporting and collaborating with the Senior Technology Leader and embracing ongoing technological initiatives and enhancement projects
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
University Degree or Collage Diploma in Computer Technology or Science.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize requests based on severity of impact on user
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-based environment with multiple demands and time constraints.
- Understanding of business operations/priorities is required.
- Understanding of security and its application in an IT infrastructure.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Office Productivity Apps, Exchange Server, Routing and Switching configuration,
Preferred Skills:
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or working towards.
Experience with Microsoft 365 products, Cisco firewalls and switches, Intuit, CaseWare, and Sage products a plus.
