Job Description

  • Build and repair plastic injection and compression molds to produce parts for the automotive industry
  • Perform numerous functions such as spotting components and core/cavity to sealoff, install manifold systems and wire as per needed, assemble and disassemble molds and also trouble shoot issues that may occur.
  • Help achieve high quality parts for the customer also create a well functioning/low maintenance mold for the life of the mold.
  • Teach and mentor less experienced toolmakers and apprentices
  • Moldmaker will report to shop foreman or supervisor with issues that arise
  • Must have knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems pertaining to a mold build
  • Overhead crane use will be essential to complete day to day tasks

Your responsibilities

  • Possess good problem solving skills and technical expertise
  • Must possess good attitude and work ethic
  • Must have own tools to complete various tasks pertaining to mold builds
  • Must be able to use all forms of manual machines (lathes, milling machines etc)
  • Must be reliable and able to function in a fast paced environment
  • Must have excellent communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.00-$36.00 per hour
