Job Summary

MealBets is seeking a passionate and innovative Software Developer to build, maintain, and optimize our core food-tech platform. You'll work on backend and frontend development to create a seamless and secure experience for our customers and partners. This role is perfect for a recent Computer Engineering or Computer Science graduate who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys solving real-world problems with code.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to define and implement new features.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code (JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript preferred).

Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.

Integrate third-party services (e.g., payment gateways, location services).

Debug and resolve technical issues across the stack.

Work with DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

Stay up to date on emerging technologies and propose improvements.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (UofT degree qualifies ).

Experience with modern web development frameworks (e.g., React, , Flask, Django).

Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and RESTful APIs.

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Assets

Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Previous co-op, internship, or academic project in software development or system design.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
