Position Overview
We're looking for a
Technical Specialist
who can bridge the gap between machine technician, print operator, and customer trainer. This hybrid position involves repairing and maintaining 3D printers, running professional print jobs (FDM, SLS, and SLA), and supporting both walk-in and business clients with their technical needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair a variety of 3D printers — including desktop and professional systems (FDM, SLS, SLA)
- Operate in-house printers to produce customer parts with precision and consistency
- Handle all aspects of print jobs — slicing, setup, material prep, and post-processing
- Train customers on machine setup, calibration, and proper maintenance techniques
- Provide technical support for both in-person and remote client inquiries
- Perform quality assurance checks on prints and maintain service documentation
- Support the sales team with technical insights, demonstrations, and printer testing
- Keep the print lab organized, calibrated, and operating safely at all times
Qualifications
- 2+ years of practical 3D printing experience (personal, academic, or professional)
- Solid knowledge of FDM printers (Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, etc.)
- Experience with SLS (e.g., Sinterit) or SLA (e.g., Formlabs, Elegoo) printers a strong asset
- Skilled in slicer software: Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura, or Lychee
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude — comfortable using tools, multimeters, and soldering irons
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts clearly to customers
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize efficiently
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with CAD software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Knowledge of CNC machining, laser engraving, or other digital fabrication tools
- Prior work in a service or repair environment
- Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP software
