Job Summary

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
  • Provide guidance and training to mechanics on proper techniques for automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed by staff to maintain quality control.
  • Manage inventory levels of tools and parts, ensuring that necessary supplies are available for operations.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to complex problems as they arise.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in automotive repair with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques is essential.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
