The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in automotive repair and demonstrate proficiency with various tools and equipment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shop personnel to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Provide guidance and training to mechanics on proper techniques for automotive repair and maintenance.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed by staff to maintain quality control.
- Manage inventory levels of tools and parts, ensuring that necessary supplies are available for operations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to complex problems as they arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in automotive repair with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques is essential.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about automotive work and committed to leading a team towards excellence in service delivery.
