Job description

Drossbach, a manufacturing company is currently looking to hire an electrician/maintenance technician for our Trenton, Ontario location. This individual is responsible for all aspects of electrical and electronic troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, maintenance and installation of systems and equipment as well as mechanical processes. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities / Skills

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company guidelines and procedures for personal safety, environment (including but not limited to lockout/tag out, use of P.P.E.'s……)
  • Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code.
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, equipment and components.
  • Bend, install conduit and pull appropriate wires in accordance with electrical codes.
  • Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Install/replace light fixtures and maintain building and grounds.
  • Mechanical skills would be an asset including basic welding skills.
  • Ability to assemble, disassemble, install and convert/upgrade production lines or support equipment.
  • Regularly inspect production lines and support equipment as well as manage preventive maintenance routines.
  • Fluent in AC and DC drive trouble shooting and repair.
  • Good knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills.
  • Ability to work during shut downs, break downs and overtime if required.

Qualifications

  • Valid 309A or 442A Journey person with strong mechanical skills as well
  • 3+ years' experience in manufacturing environment
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Basic computer skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
