This role helps contribute to the success of the company by managing national leadership learning and talent development (L&TD) initiatives - including the development of complex new curricula, programs, and processes, consulting, contracting, identifying and delivering learning and development (L&D) programs and experiences for specific client groups that result in enhanced partner (employee) capability and business performance - to meet the needs of the Starbucks Canada business.
The learning consultant identifies, articulates and champions the development needs and leverages analytics and business acumen to influence L&D portion of annual people plan. Core skills such as coaching, influencing, facilitation, communication, process development and critical thinking enable success.
Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
As a senior learning consultant, you will…
- Consults, contracts, negotiates and influences stakeholder agreement and commitment for proposed L&D solutions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of learning program development process —from initiation through completion—including project management, needs analysis, scoping, defining deliverables, content development, implementation and sustainment, milestone and resource tracking, and reporting
- Develops overall implementation strategies that include measuring and evaluating learning solutions using feedback and metrics to inform continuous improvement and ensure they meet or improve upon business performance & develop partner capability.
- Partner cross functionally with U.S. and global peers for alignment on sustainment and development of broad scale learning programs and initiatives.
- Uses knowledge of the company's business model and goals; uses financial and organizational data to build and document the business case for investing in learning solutions.
- Stays a tuned to internal and external factors that impact learning and performance in organizations; remains aware of trends and anticipates opportunities to add value to the business.
- Leads design and creation of blended, digital, and instructor-led experiences in adherence to Starbucks design standards and grounded in adult learning theory
- Apply an in-depth understanding of the business environment, industry strategies, and organizational structures to construct business cases for proposed solutions.
- Establishes and refines learning and performance improvement plans that support the business unit's strategic direction; analyses the effectiveness of existing learning and performance-improvement strategies.
- Ensures alignment between enterprise L&D strategies and business unit–specific strategy.
- Manages, markets, conducts and facilitates the delivery of L&D programs and processes.
- Localizes core L&D programs using standardized design principles to fit client needs.

Compensation & Benefits
The typical hiring range for this position is $77,900.00-$106,060.00 CAD Annually. Your base pay will reflect the market location and may vary based on your experience, skills, and internal equity.
