Construction Surveyor – Pile Survey Experience

Job Summary
Kallar Welding & Fabrication is growing, and we're looking for skilled Construction Surveyors with experience in pile surveys to join our team. You'll work alongside some of the best surveyors and welders in the industry. Our Surveyors are self-starters who take pride in their work, enjoy working outdoors in all conditions, and are eager to continue building their careers in the survey field.
While based out of our Nisku office, candidates must be willing to travel when projects fall outside the Edmonton area.
Safety
- Participate in company and client HSE Programs
- Complete all required safety paperwork and lead by example on site
Surveying
- Provide technical field support for survey operations
- Document survey activities, including field notes and reports
- Accurately and efficiently complete pile layout, cut-off elevations, as-builts, and pile cap set-outs
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Ensure clear communication with the Survey Manager and team
- Take part in our Quality Program, helping to continuously improve processes and procedures
- Maintain survey equipment and vehicles in safe working order
Qualifications
- 3+ years' construction surveying experience (pile work required)
- Geomatics Technician diploma or equivalent an asset
- Proficiency with Topcon Robotic Total Station an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean 5-year abstract
- CSTS 20/WHMIS, CSO, and First Aid required
- Ability to read and interpret maps and drawings
- Strong computer, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills and willingness to take coaching feedback
