Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. This position involves a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance (including snow shoveling), construction, and horticulture. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn and a strong commitment to quality workmanship. As a Landscape Laborer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the beauty and functionality of outdoor spaces.

Duties

  • Perform seasonal landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding and snow shoveling to ensure the health and appearance of gardens, lawns and driveways.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks.
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Participate in excavation work for planting trees, shrubs, and other landscaping features.
  • Support construction projects by moving materials, and assisting skilled tradespeople as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to quality standards.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and saws.
  • Experience with power tools including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and excavators is preferred.
  • Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant care (gardening), soil management, and pest control is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions (all seasons, including winter) while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Good time management and timely work.
