Trace Fire Protection currently has opening for a CFAA registered fire alarm technician..

Information about Trace: Established in 1993; over 80 full time employees; Office based in Markham, Ontario; Service and inspection at over 1300 sites in the GTA area In house design, electrical, fire alarm, and sprinkler divisions.

The work is in buildings in the GTA from Oshawa to Hamilton roughly. You must be prepared to arrive on time every day and work will time.

Responsibilities

  • Annual and monthly testing on fire alarm, sprinkler, portable equipment, and emergency lighting systems.
  • Occasional service or repairs.
  • Opportunity to lead many of our larger, longer term inspections.
  • Small repairs and assisting on projects and larger repairs as needed from time to time.

Qualifications

  • CFAA registration is a must as well as at least 1 year experience with testing, service, and fire alarm repairs (not an entry level position)
  • Familiarity with all makes and models of fire alarm control panels.
  • Familiarity with sprinkler testing procedures and code is a benefit.
  • Well rounded mechanical and fire alarm skills.
  • Ability to manage time and direct a crew of assistants on larger inspections.
