About the role

Senior Service Architect, Lifecycle Services is a subject matter expert in all areas of lifecycle and supporting services enabling technologies and tooling (device lifecycle management/DaaS, device configuration, disposal services, break/fix, field and dispatch, iMac) in an ITIL framework. The Senior Service Architect, Lifecycle Services is able to holistically apply their experience and knowledge of services elements, delivery methodologies, supporting and enabling technologies, risks and dependencies to create lifecycle services solutions.  As part of the Services pre-sales team, the Senior Service Architect, Lifecycle Services is responsible for the detailed assessment of customer requirements, development of service design, and cost calculations specific to their area of expertise. 

Salary range: $110K - $160K USD

What you'll be doing

  • Work collaboratively as part of the established services pre-sales team (Lead Deal Architect (Solution Manager), Sales Specialist, Commercial Architect, delivery teams and other stakeholders as required) on the development of the solution/design (technical, operational, commercial).
  • Assess and clarify customer requirements as part of services pursuits. 
  • Map customer requirements against Computacenter existing capabilities and service offerings.
  • Maximize the opportunities by leveraging Shared Service Factory and other core capabilities where possible.
  • Evaluate services requirements outside of Computacenter existing capabilities, working jointly with the Lead Deal Architect and delivery teams as required to design and cost custom solutions.
  • Develop an innovative and cost-efficient end-to-end solution & service design (technical, operational, commercial) for the expertise area, involve vendors and external partners where appropriate.
  • Support Lead Deal Architect and/or Sales Specialist in driving innovation & continuous Improvement in the expertise area.
  • Support Lead Deal Architect in preparing and answering bid responses including writing & presenting content in their area of expertise.
  • Based on the service design, summarize and outline requirements for transition & transformation. 
  • Ensure effective delivery of assignments using Computacenter's best practice methodologies and tools.
  • Ensure design adherence to Computacenter policies and procedures.
  • Create costing for developed service across the entire service areas.
  • Support Lead Deal Architect in obtaining all necessary approvals for the solution & costing with internal teams as required. 
  • Work as part of a team on larger solutions to ensure that hand over to relevant support organization(s) is successfully completed.
  • Work jointly with Commercial Architect, participate in creation of customer facing pricing template, ensure review and approval of commercial / financials as required. 
  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders across Computacenter.
  • Organize adequate support internally where required to meet quality and timelines.
  • Embrace and support Computacenter's mission and core values.
  • Travel: Expected to travel 10% – 25% of the time.

What you have

  • Detailed knowledge in the area of lifecycle and supporting services and enabling technologies and tooling (device lifecycle management, DaaS, device configuration, disposal services, break/fix, field and dispatch). 
  • Good knowledge of cross functional services (governance, service management, ITIL, etc.).
  • 5+ years' experience working in a similar role.
  • Very good understanding of the market, competition & market pricing.
  • Good interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent commercial and customer facing capability in a business focused IT environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Negotiation skills for their area of expertise.
  • Ability to design and deliver effective presentations to large audiences.
  • Analytical and risk aware approach.
  • Capable of working under own initiative but can work as a member of a team and taking the lead where necessary.
  • Good verbal and written English language skills.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload.
  • Personal flexibility & willingness to travel.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
