Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating machinery such as full size excavators, mini excavators, bobcats, and trucks . This role requires mechanical knowledge and experience in construction environments, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to safety standards. The Equipment Operator will play a vital part in our team providing our clients with expertise and equipment tasks essential to our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bocats and trucks with precision and safety.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Assist with site preparation, grading, backfilling, and excavation activities.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs when necessary.
  • Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bobcats and trucks.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Valid driver's license Class 5 or better
  • Strong understanding of safety standards in construction environments.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Prior experience in construction and equipment operation is a must. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction industry while utilizing your equipment expertise in a professional setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
