Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Aide to provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. The ideal candidate will work closely with students to facilitate their educational experience, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance in both academic and social settings. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that promotes growth and development.

Duties

  • Provide direct support to students in classroom settings, assisting with daily activities and learning tasks.
  • Assist in the development and execution of lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of the child
  • Support students in behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and learning outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents, ensuring that all parties are informed of progress and challenges.
  • Foster social skills development through structured play and interaction during classroom activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special needs, is essential.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development theories is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and educational staff.
  • Familiarities or experience with Autism level 3

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
