Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child caregiver - private home to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our child. The ideal candidate must have experience working with children, and possess strong caregiving and teaching skills. This role involves not only supervising a child but also engaging them in educational and outdoor activities, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized space.

Duties

  • Change diapers.
  • Follow parents lead with toilet training.
  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks while accommodating dietary restrictions.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including personal hygiene and dressing.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • Organize, activities such as games and outings for children.
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods.
  • Tend to emotional well-being of children.
  • Provide outdoor, wilderness and wildlife instruction.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
  • Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages social interaction, creativity, and independence among children.
  • Teach the child how to swim.
  • Teach the child how to ski.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years or more of working with children as a primary caregiver
  • Proven experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Strong cooking skills to prepare healthy meals for children are considered an asset.
  • Experience in caregiving roles that demonstrate responsibility and compassion.
  • Teaching skills to facilitate learning through play and structured activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.10 per hour
