Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Assistant with experience in compounding pharmacy practices to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting pharmacy operations with a special focus on assisting in the preparation of compounded medications. Additional duties include greeting patients, confirming prescription accuracy, dispensing medications, completing customer pickups, data entry, inventory support, and other technical or administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and compounding of customized medications, following standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.
- Accurately measure, mix, and prepare ingredients for compounded prescriptions, including creams, ointments, capsules, and suspensions, as per pharmacist instructions.
- Maintain precise documentation of compounding activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized compounding workspace, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Support the Pharmacist with daily operations, including:
- Greeting patients and verifying prescription details.
- Dispensing and labeling medications.
- Coordinating patient pickups and providing excellent customer service.
- Managing data entry and pharmacy inventory.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in implementing and maintaining efficiency measures to optimize daily tasks and workflows.
- Take accountability and ownership of assigned processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Pharmacy Assistant, ideally with exposure to compounding pharmacy practices.
- Familiarity with compounding equipment and procedures is a strong asset.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 15 kg (35 lbs).
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills.
- Full time availability (Mon- Fri)
