BI Pure Water, a leading engineering and manufacturing firm based in Surrey, BC is seeking a Structural Engineer to assist with their increasing volume of custom fabricated water treatment systems. For over 30 years, BI Pure Water has provided clean and safe drinking water to numerous remote and First Nations communities across Canada. With a focus on environmental protection and sustainability, BI Pure Water also supports municipal and industrial clients to comply with environmental wastewater regulations, offering state of the art treatment systems. BI Pure Water is a CSA W47.1 and CSA A660 certified company and most of the systems we manufacture are housed inside custom containerized or steel frame buildings specifically designed for their location and function.

The successful applicant would join our team of dedicated engineers and technicians, creating innovative and sustainable design solutions for a wide variety of clients.

Responsibilities:

· Develop detailed structural designs for both containerized and modular steel frame building systems as well as for welded steel tanks and equipment skids.

· Apply a thorough knowledge of design procedures, specifications, weld symbols and engineering software tools throughout the design process.

· Demonstrate a strong familiarity with the BC and Canadian Building Codes and be able to apply them to designs.

· Help prepare detailed drawings for the fabrication department.

· Manage multiple projects effectively through strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

· Collaborate as a project team member, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

· Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong organizational abilities in all project activities.

· Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

· Perform site visits or customer site travel as required to inspect structural installations.
