About the Job

Yorkville is seeking a Wholesaler and Internal Sales Manager to promote its mutual and segregated funds throughout Ontario and selected other provinces and cities across Canada. This position offers a hybrid work environment, combining both in-person and virtual sales activities. The Wholesaler will be responsible for the following key duties:

  • Leverage existing relationships with advisors in Ontario and other markets, and expand Yorkville's network of advisors and advisory firms.
  • Organize and conduct weekly and monthly roadshows, independently or with the investment team, targeting advisors within the assigned territory.
  • Support advisors in onboarding clients to Yorkville's mutual and segregated funds.
  • Collaborate with the portfolio management team to develop an ongoing communication strategy directed at advisors.
  • Represent Yorkville at advisor events, which may be scheduled in the evenings or on Saturdays.
  • Conduct daily visits to branches across Canada to build relationships, seek new business, and educate advisors about Yorkville's product offerings.
  • Work closely with wholesalers from insurance partners to cross-market mutual funds, segregated funds, and universal life (UL) investment options.
  • Identify and pursue referrals for High Net Worth Clients, especially where mutual or segregated funds may not be the optimal solution for accredited investors.
  • Attend weekend conventions nationwide to represent Yorkville, Aegon Asset Management, and their insurance partners' solutions.

This is a dedicated quatity business development position, ideal for an experienced wholesaler with an established network of advisor and advisory firm contacts.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in an internal or external wholesaling role.
  • A strong academic background in investments and finance, enabling the candidate to serve as a trusted resource to financial advisors.
  • Established relationships with advisors and advisory firms.
  • The ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the role.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently and maintain a high level of activity meeting advisors and advisory firms.
  • A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements related to marketing to advisors.
