Field Engineer - Ontario

Our client designs, manufactures, and delivers high-precision survey solutions to the mining industry. Their aim is to enable safer, more efficient, and better-informed geological decision making.

Following strong growth in their North America region, they are looking to introduce a Field Engineer to join their operations team in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to clients in the field, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement efforts. This role will be based in Ontario, with frequent travel to mine sites in North Bay, Timmins and Sudbury.

In this Field Engineer position, you will also be responsible for (not limited to):

  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment at customer locations (As needed).
  • Execute established client contact plans to support sales teams with product launches and strengthen client relationships.
  • Act as the first point of contact for complex client issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop tailored solutions by deeply understanding client pain points, business goals, and overall operations.
  • Conduct tool training for colleagues and customers and contribute to technical documentation and records.
  • Ensure calibration and quality control documentation is maintained according to company standards.
  • Monitor operational parameters during job execution to maximize tool efficiency and prevent damage.
  • Assist with technical sales and participate in trade events.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Degree in Geology, Mining Engineering or similar.

  • 5+ years' experience as a Field Engineer or similar.

  • Strong knowledge of downhole survey tools, and experience in drilling and mining.
