Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and making recommendations
  • Operate the POS system efficiently, including Micros POS for processing transactions
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
  • Adhere to all local laws regarding alcohol service and food handling regulations

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is an asset but if not then we are ready to train
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable
  • Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere for guests
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and drink preparation measurements
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential
  • A background in hospitality or food service will be beneficial
