Job Overview

We are seeking a talented, customer-focused Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion, beauty, and delivering exceptional service. In this role, you will assist clients with their styling needs, offer personalized recommendations, and help create a welcoming, high-quality retail experience.

A background in retail sales, optical experience, or laboratory work is a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology or retail management principles is also beneficial. This position also requires working closely with the optometrist and communicating effectively with other medical professionals. As a Stylist, you will play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and supporting the success of our location.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with customers to understand their style preferences and needs
  • Provide personalized styling advice and product recommendations
  • Assist customers in selecting eyewear, accessories, or fashion items
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, products, and optical solutions
  • Support retail sales by engaging customers and promoting products
  • Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure the retail space remains clean, organized, and visually appealing
  • Collaborate with team members and the optometrist to ensure seamless patient care
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with other medical staff
  • Stay informed about new product launches and promotional events

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail sales or the optical industry preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the optometrist and other medical professionals
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to optical or healthcare settings is an advantage
  • Laboratory or optical experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with retail management systems is beneficial
  • Sales-driven mindset with a passion for exceptional customer service
  • Experience in retail management is desirable but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
