THE ROLE:  

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking engineering leader to manage and develop a team focused on system-level design, validation, and automation. This role involves close collaboration with pre- and post-silicon hardware, software, and diagnostic teams to ensure silicon success and enable rapid product validation cycles. The team's work drives the development and automation of complex system tests executed by Firmware QA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Driving technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across product development and validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement
  • Define strategic direction for test and validation automation based on evolving team and product needs.
  • Contribute to test planning, requirement definition, and execution strategies.
  • Apply and explore the use of AI in various initiatives and efficiency improvements
  • Debug and triaging failures observed during Firmware QA testing, leveraging broad system knowledge and the ability to drive technical issues to resolution
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team while providing technical and professional guidance.
  • Play a key role in resource planning, prioritization, and cross-team coordination to achieve schedule and quality goals.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Prior, preferably recent, experience working within the Semiconductor industry blending both engineering expertise with team leadership skills  
  • Knowledge of graphics, display, and/or CPU technologies is ideal  
  • Experience with automation and validation methodologies  
  • Experience with pre- or post-silicon verification/validation, power, and performance analysis  
  • Strong analytical thinker and pronounced attention to details.
  • Exceptional communication skills that foster collaboration across cross-disciplinary teams and clearly articulate complex security concepts.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred
