Live-out Caregiver / Personal Support Worker (Full-Time, Part time, West Island)

Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated live-out caregivers / personal support workers who demonstrate a deep commitment to the well-being of their patients at home. The ideal candidate is empathetic, reliable, adaptable, and able to provide high-quality care with professionalism and respect.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate caregiving and support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration (oral and subcutaneous), and personal hygiene.
  • Offer specialized care for seniors and individuals with disabilities, including those with dementia.
  • Must be available during the day AND/OR night and able to stay at the patient's home according to the requested schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients, including assisting with light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively in English to meet the needs of diverse clients.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Assistance in Health Care Facilities

OR Attestation of Vocational Studies (AEP) in Support for Assistance in Long-Term Care Facilities

  • Current CPR and PDSB (Safe Patient Handling) certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in home care
  • Law 90 certification: comfortable administering oral and subcutaneous medication
  • Ability to travel independently in Greater Montreal or own a vehicle
  • Honesty, reliability, adaptability, and respect are essential qualities

Contract Details:

  • Live-out position
  • Work schedule: 2–3 days per week + every other weekend
  • Start date: December 5 , 2025
  • Location: West Island, Montreal, QC
