V+A Group Inc. is a well-established Chartered Professional Accountants firm. e provide assurance, accounting, tax, and consulting services to a diverse group of clients consisting of companies in the construction, professional services, and other industries, non-profit organizations, and a variety of small and medium, privately owned and owner-operated businesses. We pride ourselves on delivering quality service that exceeds client expectations. We are conveniently located in the Kitsilano area of Vancouver.

We have an opening for a Staff Accountant / CPA Articling Student. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great team in a growing, progressive firm. Our firm is CPA Pre-Approved, allowing eligible candidates to complete their practical experience requirements within our program structure.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

· Preparation of working paper files and financial statements for compilation and assurance engagements, as well as applicable tax returns and other required compliance.

· Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns, trust returns, and charity information returns.

· Preparation of GST, PST, WCB, and other compliance filings.

· Interaction with clients in a professional manner.

· Ensuring work is completed accurately and on a timely basis.

About You:

· Excellent communication (strong command of English is a must), interpersonal, and organizational skills.

· Actively enrolled as a CPA BC candidate in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on solutions.

· Exceptional time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.

· At least one (1) year of Public Practice experience is required.

· Working knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, Taxprep, and MS Office, especially Excel.
