Day Host/Hostess

Now seeking a passionate & welcoming Day Host to join our incredible service team.

Day Host Responsibilities:

o Anchors front desk operations during weekday lunch service

o Works closely with Managers to maximizes restaurant seating through thoughtful planning & seating rotation

o Monitors table availability and plans future seating assignments during service periods

o Sets dinner services up for success daily for evening Host team

o Looks ahead at coming days to plan reservations & review staffing levels

o Answers phones, assists Guests with reservations or inquiries

o Operates a waitlist when no seats are immediately available

o Sets the tone of excellent service with each Guest interaction

o Learns Guest names & preferences to provide caring, individualized service

o Communicates with Servers & Managers providing seamless service

o Takes every opportunity to create Moments of Truth

o Assists in execution of Take-out program (from placing to completing curbside hand-off)

o Sets up & maintains cleanliness of front desk and entryway throughout shift

o Facilitates Gift Card sales

o Performs daily/weekly cleaning & maintenance duties

Day Host Qualifications:

o You are able to work mainly days, generally between 10:00am-6:00pm, in a full-time capacity

o You have minimum 2 years of previous Customer Service experience. Previous Host experience would be an asset

o You are comfortable working with computers and may have experience with Open Table

o You are professional and have strong leadership & communication skills

o You thrive in a fast-paced environment & are able to work on your feet for extended periods

o You get excited about leaving a positive impression or making someone's day

o You have strong organization & time management skills

o You take initiative & you never turn your head from a standard

o You are able to make a minimum one (1) year commitment to our team

o You may have your Smart Serve certification (not required, would be an asset)

o You may be interested in starting a career in hospitality & are looking for growth opportunities
