POSITION OVERVIEW

Our company is looking for an experienced and safety-focused DZ Driver to operate our 26ft curtainside truck. The ideal candidate has strong driving skills, over 3 years of relevant experience, and a clean driver's abstract. We are located in North York at Norfinch Dr., North York.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operate a 26 ft curtainside truck for pickups and deliveries.
  • Proactively delivering products to various customers and businesses in the GTA and surrounding areas
  • Load and unload materials
  • Secure loads and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, and customer instructions.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en route, post-trip)
  • Report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs.
  • Represent the company professionally at all customer locations.
  • Reviewing ordered products before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete
  • and up to customer satisfaction.
  • Daily customer interaction through answering questions and handling complaints from clients.
  • Collecting and accepting payments for invoiced products
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Valid DZ Driver's Licence.

· 3+ years of truck driving experience

· 3-year letter of experience from the previous insurance company.

· Clean driver's abstract.

· Experience with 26 ft curtainside trucks (or similar size)

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Fluency with speaking, reading, and writing in English.

· Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds as required and assist other personnel with heavier loads.

· Strong knowledge of Ontario road safety regulations.

· Good communication skills and a customer service attitude.

· Accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue

· Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

· Must be flexible to work occasional overtime, including weekends.
