Job Summary

Cambrooks College is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support various administrative functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the Alberta Post Secondary Career College education system, industry trends, and exceptional student support skills. The Administrative Assistant will assist with daily operations, support faculty and students, and ensure a smooth workflow within the office.

Duties

  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering inquiries.
  • Operate multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Assist with data entry tasks, ensuring the college filing is accurate and complies with accrediting agencies and PVT expectations.
  • Provide clerical support, including typing, proofreading, and organizing files.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for various administrative tasks.
  • Maintain calendar management for appointments and meetings.
  • Offer customer support by addressing student concerns and providing information as needed.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations and excellent service delivery.
  • Assist with ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Proctor admission exams such as Wonderlic to ensure integrity.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in office management or administrative roles in a career college is preferred.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations and multi-line phone systems is advantageous.
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on providing exceptional support.
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.54-$25.71 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
