Security Site Supervisor
, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the site's security team, ensuring the safety and comfort of all visitors, tenants, and staff. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking to maintain Paladin's high standards of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, schedule, and evaluate mall security officers.
- Monitor and maintain full security coverage across all areas, including entrances, parking lots, and service corridors.
- Oversee incident reporting and investigations involving theft, disturbances, medical emergencies, or trespassing.
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate with external emergency services (police, fire, EMS).
- Conduct or supervise foot, vehicle, and CCTV patrols to detect and deter risks.
- Enforce mall policies, by-laws, and property rules in accordance with applicable laws and acts.
- Collaborate with property management, law enforcement, and tenant representatives to uphold security standards.
- Review and provide feedback on reports, logs, rosters, and incident documentation.
- Lead site training, drills, and team briefings on emergency response and customer service.
- Conduct inspections to identify security and safety concerns and recommend improvements.
- Participate in strategic planning, process improvements, and development of security procedures.
- Act as an escalation point for site-level concerns and ensure team accountability.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, including emergency response, investigations, loss prevention, and physical security
- Proven ability in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Strong critical thinking, situational awareness, and decision-making under pressure
- Comfortable with CCTV systems, access control, and security software tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - Level C certification
- Proof of two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
- Valid G Driver's License
