Electrical Project Manager

Job Description:

As an Electrical Project Manager & Estimator with Jayden's Mechanical, you'll be a key member of a growing, high-performing team. We are a privately owned and operated business dedicated to quality work, safety, and outstanding customer service.

This is a full-time, permanent position for someone who wants to use their electrical and construction experience to both win work and successfully deliver it—from first take-off to project close-out—within a rapidly expanding company that rewards initiative and hard work.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Estimating & Pre-Construction
• Source, review, and target a variety of electrical projects (commercial, residential, industrial as applicable).
• Attend walk-throughs and site meetings to determine project scope and installation requirements.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, and related documents to prepare accurate time, cost, material, and labour estimates.
• Prepare detailed and clearly organized estimates and bid submissions for internal review and client presentation.
• Consult with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members to clarify scope, pricing, and constructibility.
• Review material and labour requirements to determine the most cost-effective and practical solutions.
• Assist in vendor and subcontractor selection by reviewing quotes and ensuring alignment with project scope and budget.

Project Management & Execution:

• Take ownership of awarded projects from handoff through to completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, and manpower loading in coordination with field supervisors and electricians.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time and on budget.
• Monitor project costs, track changes, and assist with change orders, extras, and progress billing.
• Provide clear communication and regular updates to clients, site supervisors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support field teams with clarification of drawings, specifications, and scope questions.
• Proactively identify and resolve conflicts, site issues, and scope gaps with practical, solutions-focused problem-solving.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with applicable codes, safety policies, and company standards.
• Participate in project close-out, including documentation, deficiency lists, and handover to the client.
• Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience in construction (commercial and/or residential; project management experience is a strong asset).
• Licensed electrician or strong background in the electrical trade is considered an asset.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and electrical schematics.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with field service management or construction/project management software is an asset.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally represent Jayden's Mechanical to clients, vendors, and partners.
• A collaborative team player who can also take ownership and drive projects forward.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to various job sites as required.-
