Join our team as an Employment Specialist working at our Solutions Employment Services, located in beautiful Ladner. This six-month contract (January to June 2026) offers a starting wage of $33.77 per hour, plus 10.6% in lieu of benefits.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
As a full-time Employment Specialist, you will be responsible for creating strategies and providing supports and services that assess, train and coach people with developmental disabilities to be ready for the workforce while sourcing and securing employment opportunities. You will also be confident and comfortable marketing to perspective businesses to provide meaningful customized employment to persons with varied abilities. The Employment Specialist will manage a case portfolio and will lead employment-related projects that support the strategic goals and objectives of the Society. This position will also provide coaching, mentoring and support to other team members, as directed by the Employment Services Manager.
The typical hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This role requires flexibility including early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on program and client needs.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors in Social Services or Adult Education; five years (5) related experience; the ability to accompany individuals for job opportunities, interviews, and other employment related activities (Must have at least a Class 7(N) BC Driver's License and clean driver's abstract). You must possess First Aid & CPR (or able to obtain before start date). Having experience as a Career Development Practitioner or other related experience would be an asset.
The ideal candidate will have digital competency including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and being a team player are essential.
