Overview

Au Pain Dore cafe and bakery is seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and exceptional customer service skills. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, equipment, and seating areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  • Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food handling guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance overall customer experience.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques is advantageous.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
