Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety protocols. The Driver will also be expected to handle heavy equipment and perform basic automotive repairs as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal driving regulations while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance practices is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
