Do you enjoying working in a fast paced environment? Do you love animals? The Dawson Creek Veterinary Clinic is expanding its team and looking to add a full time mixed animal receptionist to our team. The successful candidate will have an agricultural/farm background, great communication skills, excellent customer service, a professional and relaxed demeanor and a strong ability to multi-task. The receptionist will be responsible for general receptionist duties in the large animal and small animal clinic. As a receptionist, you are the first point of contact for our clients and play a vital role in ensuring their experience at our clinic is positive and seamless. From greeting clients with a warm smile, to assisting with scheduling appointments and providing support to our veterinary team, you will be an integral part of our clinic operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:


•Perform opening and closing duties to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.


•Communicate effectively with clients via face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and emails.


•Accurately perform data entry and maintain meticulous record-keeping.


•Schedule medical appointments and ensure the appointment calendar stays organized.


•Maintain cleanliness and organization in front entrance and exam rooms.


•Stock pet food and retail shelves to ensure inventory availability.


•Ensure client and pet are comfortable throughout their visit to the clinic.

Requirements:


•Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.


•Previous experience in a customer service, reception, or administrative role preferred.


•Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or graduate from a veterinary office assistant program is highly desirable.


•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


•Positive, friendly, and caring attitude towards clients and their pets.


•Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.


•Ability to follow direction and protocol with precision.


•Team player with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues.


•Ability to work with efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.


•Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Availability:


•Available for shifts Monday – Friday.


•Available for shifts between 7:30am – 7:30pm.


•Full-time position.
