Baker

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Baker to join our Bakery department team on a full-time basis at our location in St. Paul, AB. Reporting to the Bakery Manager.

What you'll do:

· Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.

· Produce a variety of baked goods from scratch, including bread, rolls, sweet treats, muffins, cookies, cakes, and specialty items.

· Prepare doughs, batters, icings, and frostings according to recipes and custom orders.

· Operate and maintain baking equipment, such as ovens and industrial mixers.

· Frost, decorate, package, and merchandise baked goods.

· Maintain accurate inventory and ensure proper food handling and safety procedures.

· Perform cleaning, maintenance, and temperature logging as required.

· Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.

· Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's mission, values, brand and focus on safety.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

· You are a certified baker or have relevant bakery experience.

· You have completed Grade 12 or have previous experience in baking or retail.

· You can lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

· You have a strong understanding of recipes, ingredient measurements, and baking techniques.

· You are customer-focused, action-oriented, and work well within a team.

· You are honest, reliable, and results-driven, with a passion for excellence.

· You value collaboration and appreciate diverse perspectives to achieve shared goals.
