Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal operations during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with various tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Snow Plow Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining clear and accessible roadways and properties.

Responsibilities

  • Operate snow plow equipment to clear parking lots of snow and ice.
  • Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing blades, and cleaning machinery.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly to ensure safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of hours worked, equipment usage, and materials applied during snow removal operations.
  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery or snow plows is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance and construction activities.
  • Prior experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is a plus.
  • Ability to work long hours during winter storms and adapt to changing weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
