Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Attendant to join our team in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, handling food and payments, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming atmosphere
  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to food safety standards
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
  • Restock supplies as needed and assist with food preparation when required
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain hygiene standards
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns professionally

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
  • Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Basic knowledge of serving techniques and upselling strategies is beneficial
